Welcome to Earned Value Technologies!

Many business organizations seek Agility.  Even ones that became disillusioned with the methodology nevertheless still aspired to Continuously Improve.  Consultancies that help organizations do this culturally via Agile practices often call the initiatives things like Scaled Agile or Enterprise Business Agility or an Agile Culture “Transformation”.

This in fact is what we at Earned Value Technologies (EVT) do uniquely well.  But we also know how to de-jargonize our coaching and frame it more as measurable, incentivized continuous improvement.

To many, enabling Cultural Continuous Improvement seems overly ambitious, if not unnecessary. Yet if there’s one thing we’ve learned as business consultants, it’s that this capability is precisely what most business cultures need most nowadays.  Further, most don’t know why or how to assess their relative competency on a cultural scale, not to mention how progressively cultivate it.

This website explains why Cultural Continuous Improvement (CCI) is needed and why it should be considered a shared responsibility. It also explains why it should not be limited to just a few independent teams and how cultural adoption can be progressively measured.  We’ll show you how to perpetuate it throughout your entire business ecosystem and also introduce some unique technology to accelerate progressively wide adoption.

We like to think of such business “ecosystems” as Next Generation.  After you learn more about us we think you will too!

So, welcome & thank you for visiting!

What are "Next" Business Ecosystems ?

(..and why your's can't compete!)

Agile software development teams often struggle to collaborate well with “external” teams (especially with stakeholders that are uninvolved or unfamiliar with Agile practices).  When that happens, Agile coaches commonly prescribe Systems ThinkingI.e., They remind us that we all collectively belong to larger business Ecosystems and that When one part of a business ecosystem struggles, the entire system also struggles

Try as they may though to translate this fine idea into practice – I.e., ..to extend the boundaries of Agile relationship management – their efforts often fall short.

EVT coaches are familiar with this frustration and understand its root causes:

Most business organizations insufficiently incentivize stakeholders to..

A) ..think systemically

B) ..practically apply Systems Thinking

C) ..continuously and ecologically improve

While each of these are measurable capabilities, the emphasis on ecology and continuous improvement in the third one is particularly important!  That’s because they are more easily recognized as valuable by ecosystem stakeholders.  They also suggest a shared responsibility in deference to the Agile Manifesto’s Value #1: Individuals and Interactions over Processes and Tools.

We’ll help you determine the degree your business ecosystem can do these things and whether it can do them well enough to effectively compete with other business ecosystems going forward.

Our free Next Business Ecosystems webinar raises awareness of how such enabled business ecosystems are rapidly changing the competitive landscape.  Attendees often also follow that with our free Applied Systems Thinking Assessment, which also includes an Assessment Results Read Out and associated Risk Analysis.

We are confident you’ll find these things valuable in themselves – if for no other reason than they raise awareness of the issues and can in turn inspire needed proaction. In addition to them, you’ll also know that if at any time such support is needed, you’ll have a reliable resource in EVT for it!

How To Accelerate
Your Business Ecosystem's

Continuous Improvement

Our Next Business Ecosystems webinars don’t just rehash the same stuff Agile coaches have been spouting for decades.  Rather, you’ll see how the latest technologies and approaches are transforming Business Ecosystems and making the lagging ones obsolete!

You’ll see how ALL different types of Business ecosystem stakeholders can support each other’s success – even if they operate at different Org levels – even if they have vastly different responsibilities, priorities, timelines – and even if use completely different development methodologies.

Step by step, you’ll see how to collaboratively build a business ecosystem that is increasingly worth supporting, starting from wherever your teams are at!

“Thanks Jon – This is such an exciting new perspective on a misunderstood capability!  We knew we needed better collaboration and we wanted higher morale, but we really didn’t know where to start. We now have a much better roadmap – Looking forward to your helping us follow it!”
